Back In Action
It’s been a trying few months for us all here in Tinahely. We have had a slow start to the session with our horse’s not quiet firing on all cylinders. It seemed we had a nasty little bug lurking about, however with a lot of hard work and persistence we are back in action. We spent many weeks power hosing the entire yard, eliminating pesky pigeons and generally scrubbing the yard from top to toe.
Thankfully having had a 2 month period with no winner, having come off the back of a very good session, Don’t Tell the Boys broke the mould for us in Listowel when jointly winning the INH Flat race for The Germaines Top Lounge Syndicate under the mount of Michael Fogarty. Mission Possible finished second in Ballinrobe putting up a brave front running performance and Tally Em Up also finished second yesterday in Tipperary just finding one a bit too good for her.
The horses are in great order here at home and there are sure to be many more winners in the coming weeks. We have a great line up of young horses for the 2010/2011 session including some of our more prominent winners from last session. There is always an advantage to having a slow start, things can only get better and we are certainly looking forward to what promises to be a great year ahead.
