First and foremost I have to apologise for the absence of News over the past month.  As I am sure some of you are aware we are expecting our third child in January, and it hasn't been all plain sailing, unfortunately for Philip I have been leaving a little more of the admin work to him and as a consequence the website has been lacking a little TLC.

Since my last post we have welcomed Rosie Deegan to the team, and I am sure some of you have already been introduced to our newest member of staff over the phone or indeed in person.  Rosie has promised to keep you all informed online on a weekly basis.

It’s been an interesting past Month with what seemed to be a period for placed horses. We have had Ample Appeal, Celtic Carol, Current Recession, as well as Ballyburke finishing in the third spot over the past few weeks. Jacks Island really pulled it out of the bag in Clonmel on Thursday last when winning well under the mount of our apprentice stable Jockey Declan Bates.  Jacks Island sailed past the front-running favourite Quartetto at the fourth last; he jumped the last in great style and stayed on well to beat Harold's Cross by an impressive five and a half length’s.

Philips week has been action packed with a trip over to the Brightwell Sales in Cheltenham. He was unable to purchase but it was great to see such a great trade for horses with form. It certainly gives us all some hope that the racing industry still has a future, especially with all the recessionary doom and gloom here in Ireland at the present time not to mention the up and coming budget.

Thankfully our horses are in great form at the present time and we are positive that we have a good line up for the coming weeks.
